Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

As we age, collagen production declines resulting in sagging, dullness and deepening of fine line and wrinkles on the skin.  By increasing the blood circulation and stimulating the production of collagen, the structure and elasticity of the skin can be improved giving your skin a healthy glow.

Dr. Cheung is certified in the application of Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture.  She studied the theories and technique of this facial rejuvenation procedure taught by Anthony and Kamila Kingston who have taught and practiced facial rejuvenation acupuncture across four continents over 14 years.

How does it work?

Cosmetic acupuncture is a non-surgical treatment used to reduce the signs of aging, reportedly a safe alternative to surgery or botox.  Tiny sterile needles are inserted along meridian lines and acupoints to create positive microtraumas.  When your body senses these injuries, it goes into repair mode and your lymphatic and circulatory system will work together to increase blood flow to nourish, oxygenate and moisturize your skin from inside out.  It also increases the production of collagen thus improving elasticity, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, giving your skin a firm and rejuvenated look.

How long does it take?

Recommended course of treatment is 8 to 12 sessions, 45-60 minutes per session. Results may be noticeable after 6 to 8 sessions as each individual respond to treatment differently depending on their age, health and lifestyle.  Maintenance treatment every 1 – 2 months are recommended.
