Physical Medicine

Physical medicine specializes in the diagnosis,  treatment  and management of patients who have  been disabled from  a medical condition or disorder, disease or injury. Dr. Cheung primarily focuses on  treating conditions of the  musculoskeletal system including bones, muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons that affect one’s ability to function.  Her ultimate goal is to help patients to become as functional and pain-free as possible and return to normal function and enjoying life. 

Common conditions treated include muscle and joint strains, arthritis and soft tissue pains. Depending on the patient’s condition, a variety of treatments can be offered including ultrasound, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, therapeutic and stretching exercise, manipulative therapy and acupuncture.
