LED Light Therapy

LED light therapy transforms light energy into cellular energy for a natural, non-invasive skin facial rejuvenation. It does not use ultraviolet (UV) light so it doesn't cause damage or burns to the skin.  LED light therapy can increase the amount of collagen in the skin to reduce the signs of aging and appearance of wrinkles. Other uses include acne, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, scarring, hair loss and sun damage. Depending on which wavelength is used (which correspond to different visible color), each wavelength penetrates the skin at different depths to work on different skin conditions.

Red light is best for anti-aging.  It acts on fibroblasts (cells in the skin which play a role in production of collagen) . It also helps reduce inflammation and combats wrinkles.

Blue light is good for treating acne. It affects the epidermis (the uppermost layer of the skin) by reducing the activity in the sebaceous glands so they produce less of the oil that can plug the follicles, leading to acne. It also eliminates acne-causing bacteria.

Cyan light is the combination of blue and green light.  It treats acne and pigmentation simultaneously.  Cyan light also helps with sunburns, irritation and inflammation.

Green light treats dark spots, dark circles and hyperpigmentation.  It targets melanocytes by inhibiting the production of excess melanin and breaking up melanin clusters to lessen existing discoloration.

Yellow light soothes sensitive skin, brightens complexions and stimulates the lymphatic systems.  It penetrates the outer layer of your skin, reaching the blood vessels beneath and increasing circulation.  Yellow light also reduces redness due to inflammation, sunburn and rosacea.

Orange is the combination of red and yellow light and acts like a revitalizer. It can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, boost collagen production, reduction inflammation and stimulate circulation.  It has been shown to bring vitality to dull and aging complexions. An orange light is good for bringing aglow to the skin for special occasions.

Purple light rejuvenates the cell.  It decreases the telomeres of DNA in the cell to essentially bring it back to a stem cell-like state so that it can divide and create new cells.

White light is the one for all.  It is the combination of the other colors of light so it includes the benefits of all wavelengths.  It is considered to be the most effective and powerful wavelength for treating a range of skin conditions.
